Hello everyone!

When tasked to turn a blog post into a high converting copy, do you have any suggestions as to what the best conversions are? Also, how would you map said conversions to a funnel? I’m a bit stuck especially in the mapping bit! Any help will be appreciated 🤩

Hi KIMGL,

I don’t quite understand your question. What do you mean by “turn a blog post into a high converting copy”?

Can you clarify the question?

Are you trying to take an already existing blog post, and turn it into a sales letter, to directly sell a product or service?

Because a blog post and a sales page are two different things, with different structure and purpose.

The closest crossover I can think of at the moment would an “advertorial” or “review” type piece, with a call to action. But if the post didn’t start out that way then we’d need to restructure (re-write) the entire piece.

Or are you just trying to get more people to click-through on a link within an existing blog post? (affiliate link, or link to a sales page)

This can usually be done by inserting a curiosity factor, and a simple call to action directing readers to the link.

Of course it also depends on the quality of the post itself. If the entire post isn’t useful to the reader (informative, or at least entertaining) then conversions will be minimal, or non existent.

Or are you asking something else entirely? Can you clarify what you consider a conversion?

Are we talking about…
  • A direct sale from the page?
  • A click-through on a link in the post?
  • Having the reader contact you for more info?
  • Having the reader sign up for your email list?
  • Something else?

And what do you mean by “mapping”? If you’re simply trying to track conversions, then any good analytics software should be able to track the flow of visitors from one page to the next.

Or are you asking how to insert a new blog post into an already existing sales funnel?

If you can better explain what you’re trying to do, it would be easier to offer help.

The best conversions are high conversions from qualified prospects.
