Website-building tips and SEO

Hello again,
I'm sorry for my long absence, this time of year is the busiest time for my day job, so I've had no energy in my time off to give much attention to anything else, unfortunately. Hopefully, the load should drop back to normal levels in the next few weeks; then I'll be able to resuscitate my copywriting fever. But I was wondering if I might ask for your advice and opinions again?
I've set myself up a website via Wordpress, though it's still a work-in-progress. I haven't had any incoming messages from clients yet, but as I still have work to do on it, I don't mind that just now - it needs some good, robust Terms and Conditions, and all the other legal things, but I'm looking into that.
I was wondering if I might ask for more general advice about SEO content and getting noticed (when I'm ready to be noticed). Would it be terribly bad form, or against forum rules if I posted a link here and asked anyone who cared to read to give it a once-over?
