I have been improving my copywriting skill and learning everything about copywriting. Now I am trying to learn more about best practices for email copywriting.

I’m just asking for some tips to get high open rates and conversions for my emails. Are there any secret buzzwords, phrases or tips you can give to help me increase my conversion.

A lot of it depends on what type of emails you’re talking about. Are they…

• Friendly and informative? (like you’re sharing info with a friend)

• Straight up sales messages? (new offers or special promotions)

• Follow-up emails from a previous purchase? (or re-activation emails from a neglected list)

Also, how did you acquire the list of email addresses? Did they opt-in for a free or special offer? Did you buy the list from a broker? Are they current customers who have purchased from you?

There really is no one-size-fits-all answer to your question. (it depends on the more specific nature of why you’re sending them, and who you’re sending them to) But here’s another thread that gives a bit of general advice on the subject…
