3 Easy Ways To Get Your Creative Juices Going on Your Next Article

Post by Franklin »

Writing a good article doesn’t just mean putting your thoughts on a page. You also have to capture the interest of your readers and get them to keep reading.

The main ingredients for cooking up tasty articles are a pinch of thought, a dash of knowledge, and a large dose of creativity.

Putting words into images in the readers mind is an art which requires a certain flair that only creativity can provide.

While creativity might come natural to some people, sooner or later most of us will get the blank page stare also known as writers block.

What do we do when writers block takes over and nothing comes to mind?

There's no surefire ways to get over writers block but there are a few easy ways to get your creative juices flowing.

They can't guarantee you the perfect mindset, but the methods below can help you achieve that state of mind.

Here are 3 easy ways for overcoming writers block

1) Keep a journal with you always.

It can be a pencil and paper, or a voice recorder, but always have some way of recording your thoughts because you never know when ideas will pop up.

Remember that ideas and creativity can come from anywhere and they can be triggered by anything you hear, see, smell, touch or taste. Your senses are lifes radar for taking in info and discovering new ideas.

When an idea pops to mind record all of them into your journal and keep it with you for future reference.

You can also write down anything that you read or hear. Someone elses ideas could be used to spark your own ideas. Borrowing ideas for inspiration is not stealing, it's your own personal development of the idea that makes it unique.

2) Relax and take time to sort things out.

A jumbled or distracted mind isn't a good place to create new ideas. We must have a clear mind if we wish to have our creativity working at full speed.

Get rid of obstacles that can block your creativity. If you're bothered by something you can't force your mind to stay focused.

Try to relax and think about the emotion you want your writing to reflect. Your experiences are what shape your mindset which will be reflected on your writing.

You can use these emotions to help you in expressing yourself and your ideas, with this you can write more creatively.

Take regular breaks from working. When you hit a brick wall, getting away for a short break can allow your subconcious to metabolize your inner thoughts.

Even athletes take regular breaks between workouts to give thier muscles time to regroup from fatigue. Your creativity muscles require the same thing for optimal performance.

3) Create a working place that can inspire your creativity.

Creativity comes from being in the right state of mind.

Your working place can be a trigger for creative productivity, or a hindrance if it doesn’t put you in the right mood.

Fill your working place with objects that makes you feel inspired. You can put up pictures, light incense, or surround yourself with anything that gets your creative juices flowing.

Don't use your workplace for anything other than working, or it can dissolve the energy of having a space that triggers the productive mood.

These three simple tips can be used by authors, bloggers and creative types in every field. Try them for yourself and see how much easier it is to keep your creative juices flowing.
