I like it. It made me smile. I guess that makes me part Chiquita banana

I like it too.
As soon as I saw it I started singing the Chiquita banana song in my head (the one from the old commercial when I was a kid) Is that commercial still around? I'll have to look it up on youtube after I reply here
I'm a direct response marketer through and through and this is more of a brand recognition / space ad, but I'll toss in my 2 cents anyway...
The only thing that gave me cause to pause is where it says "One of them is just a banana. The other is not."
Something about that phrasing has a somewhat negative undertone which pulled me out of the quirky mood that the overall ad gave me. (it was a subtle shift but that wording made my smile shrink a bit )
As a direct marketer I might try split testing with a more uplifting undertone, to see which one pulls better? Maybe something like...
"One of them is just a banana. The other is so much more."
And you could still end with "Chiquita. More than just a banana." without it being too redundant (it might even help to reinforce the message).
Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
Thanks for sharing this with us. Now I'm off to go find the Chiquita banana song on youtube...

IMHO maybe the background color could be changed. A different background color might make it pop out more.
