Hey eldorian,
Welcome to the forum!
I believe only you can tell you what's right for you.
But since you asked for opinions, I'll give you mine...
As far as learning copywriting, I say you should give it a try and see if it clicks for you.
What's the worst thing that could happen?
You could learn a new skill that can help you through many aspects of life. Persuasive writing is for more than just selling stuff. It can also help you persuade others to support your ideas. Like even if you remain a software engineer, you may want to pursue a new project some day - and a carefully written text, email, or letter can get others on your side.
What's the best thing that could happen?
You could decide copywriting is for you, become good at it, and open up a whole new career path full of expectation, fulfillment, and lots of money.
Chances are it will be somewhere in between. But either way, learning a powerful skill like persuasive copywriting will never be a bad thing.
Whatever you decide I wish you the best of success.
All the best,
Steven

Hi everyone. I'm a software engineer that is hating a lot his job, but i don't know if is a momentary phase.
I'm thinking and searching if it is convenient to switch to a copywriting career.
I know of some people that from my actual field switched to copywriting.
But I'm searching some more opinion.
I'm curious to listen yours.
