I’m a college student juggling multiple classes, part-time work, and a never-ending list of writing assignments. Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot about AI writing tools and how they can help with academic writing. Naturally, I was skeptical at first—can an AI really help me write a good research paper or at least make my life easier?
So I decided to test a few of them out. Here's what I found:
PerfectEssayWriter.ai
This one surprised me. It’s tailored specifically for academic writing, so it's not just a generic AI that spits out random content. You can actually tell it your topic, academic level, and citation style (like APA or MLA), and it generates structured essays or outlines that are easy to work with. It feels more like a writing assistant that knows what professors are looking for.
This one is more focused on generating full essays or parts of essays quickly. It’s helpful when you’re stuck or just don’t know where to begin. I wouldn’t rely on it to write everything, but it can definitely help break the “blank page” curse. It also gives you citations and can structure essays based on your input.
AI tools aren’t a replacement for your own critical thinking or research, but they can save you time, help you get unstuck, and improve the overall quality of your writing. I still make sure to edit everything and add my own voice, but these tools have honestly helped reduce my stress levels this semester.
Has anyone else tried these or found other tools that work well for academic writing? Would love to hear your thoughts!
