How much visual design skills will be used when copywriting?

So at the moment I have started to educate myself about copywriting and will do some courses with the possibility of freelancing in the future. I am really new at this but a question I have been wondering is if you pick up freelance article writing /website-copy or having to write a landing page, would a client expect me to do the visual designs as well? Or will be dependent on the client?

Usually, clients just want the words and leave the visuals to the designers. But sometimes, smaller gigs might expect you to wear a couple of hats. Best to clarify with each client to keep it smooth sailing! Good luck, you got this!
